And if my mum can do it...

For those of you who read about the person I most admire, have a look at my mum's blog Dr Abby Waterman MD.

  1. Hi Emma

Thank you so much for adding this link. What an inspiring blog your mum is writing! Hats off to her! I like the personal and honest way it's written and the fact that we are sharing in her new venture. I definitely feel I want to find out more about your mum's life!

  2. Hi Emma,

Your mum is remarkable (but then, so is your dad ;) I enjoyed seeing how frank she is about the writing process. I'm not sure whether I have the courage to be so public. If I thought a blog were completely private (like a diary), I'd let rip a lot more.

  3. Hi Margie / Janet,

I'll pass on your comments. I agree with you Margie, I'm not sure I'd have the courage to keep a blog. It is so public and everything I've read so far is so well thought out... Ceri Jones, Carol Read, my mum etc

  4. Hi Emma / Margie

You can make your blog completely private, so that only you and only if you want, whoever you choose can view it. You might like to do this at first. Then it would be like a very private journal / diary.

The idea of my blog being public worried me too, at the beginning, but then I changed my mind as I realised it was more interesting to have an audience.

It does take courage to write a blog and the first steps are always the most difficult, but if you persevere, it will be ok!!

You might enjoy reading this fantastic first blog post by Emma Herrod called "To blog or not to blog, That is the question" - I love the 4 lessons that she mentions as a newbie blogger!

Basically the bottom line is "Feel the fear and do it anyway!" It's a motto that's helped me through the ages :-)
